B&B Theatres plans another big KC remodel

B&B Theatres is kicking off 2019 with major renovations to its Overland Park 16 theater at 8601 W. 135th St.

The renovation will include several new amenities, including the MX4D concept that gives moviegoers a 4-D experience with seats that pitch, roll and pivot with the onscreen action. It also includes other effects, such as wind, rain, snow, fog and scent.​

The 16-screen facility was Dickinson Theatre's flagship theater when it was built a little over 10 years ago and features a palazzo style, B&B Executive Vice President Brock Bagby said. B&B acquired the local theater chain in 2014.
